Clatsop Community College received $500 towards a a "brown bag lunch series". Therough the reading and writing about North West literature, this lecture series was desigend to encourage the appeciation and understanding of the interplay of literature and place, with an emphasis upon the northern coast of Oregon. Lecturers, events and literary models were drawn primarily from the coastal Northwest. But the also included the perceptions and practices of Northwest cultural groups, Native Americans and others, through their stories.
