The grant will be used to bring a Balkan Cabaret band to play at the Clatsop Community College Performing Arts Center. In addition to a concert, a workshop in Balkan fold dance will take place in the afternoon so that audience members can take advantage of the dance music in the evening.

Carol Newman is a well-known local radio personality who has provided over two decades of cross-cultural folk music to the community.
