The project is both theatrical and educational. The Coaster will bring Steven Holgate to the coast to present his one man play, A. LINCOLN. An abridged version of the play will be presented to three area high schools. The first part of the presentation, which he performs as Abe Lincoln, is back ground information from letters, speeches and historical writings that touch on his youth, his law career, and his political career, as well as an overview of the Civil War, slavery , states rights, etc. Then the program takes the form of a press conference with the students playing the role of the press, asking questions, the answers of which further illuminate the life and times of A. Lincoln. The target audience is high school students, and their teachers.

Mr. Holgate, who bears a striking resememblance to Lincoln, ahs performed both the full length and abbreviated version of A. LINCOLN al over the United States, and around the world.
